I am a Queer, non-binary, first Generation Korean American living in Washington DC. I am a disco lover, dog dad of two, partner to an amazing boyfriend of fours years, an aspiring DJ, and a lover of nature and fitness.
I grew up in the DMV area, was a competitive swimmer since the age of 6, and swam collegiately at Virginia Military Institute, where I was the Team Captain my senior year, and came out on out sports as well! In 2018, I started my first real job out of school at Equinox in DC, there I used my knowledge at school as a biology and exercise science major, prior experience working with PTs, rehab coaches, and wellness centers, and even my own experience with a low back herniated disc injury.
Being a personal trainer was supposed to be a stepping stone for me to later go into PT school, but I fell in love with my job, from getting to help others with their own injuries, to helping others develop a lifestyle that works for them.
Getting to help others through fitness & lifestyle change was something I was able to show and guide people through vulnerable times in their lives, and take them step by step to improve their behaviors, learning new skills, and creating actionable steps they could do everyday to get them from point A to point B, is why I continue to love my job.
