Hello! I am Krislyn Mercer. Welcome to my website where you can find everything I’m involved in as well as links. Use the arrow to the right to navigate through my different pages. About me: I am a young Robertson County native who has a passion for helping others. Currently, I currently have two main ways I am serving.

First, I own my business Krislyn’s Kiddos and Furry Friends. I nanny, babysit, pet sit, and tutor. It is the joy of my life and I began that in October of 2018. I am also hiring for team members to join me!

Secondly, I own an Etsy shop called Nash Style Expression. There I design and upload clothing from a print on demand company. Someone orders something and it gets printed and shipped directly so there is no waste. I started that in January of 2022.

Below are my socials and ways to contact me. My email is krislynbmercer@gmail,com

NANNYING - BABYSITTING - PETCARE - TUTORING

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. In 2018 I decided to make a change and work in a career I was truly passionate about and would align with my “future” at the time. It became the best decision I ever made and I will forever be glad I stepped out of my comfort zone to try something new.

I have years of experience in childcare. I am CPR/First Aid/AED/Infant Specialty Certified. I carry a life vac and first aid kit in my car or nanny bag at all times. I have skills in special needs care, speech development, Montessori styles, and more.

What is a nanny bag? A nanny bag has all of the things I have collected that your kids are guaranteed to love. My bag includes but isn’t limited to: bubble machine, paper, paint, water balloons, chalk, temporary tattoos, markers, balloons, books, crayons, pens, fidget toys, and more!

Having a true passion for what I do makes it feel less like a job and more like a hobby. I love getting to interact in home with children and pets daily.

Some of my most memorable moments as a nanny would be traveling to Colorado, Barbados, Mexico, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach, Hawaii, and Gatlinburg with families I work for. My most proud moments include going to present to classrooms. Getting to share my passion, drive, and support with the next generation is such a privilege and I am happy to schedule and make that happen anytime I can.

Run 🏃‍♀️

Back in September of 2022 I decided to do a run. After that I felt not only the physical but also the mental benefits it held. From there I began to run a little more, a little harder, etc.

On NYE 2022 I ran my first 5k, the “frostbite 5k” in Gallatin. It was tough. Not only because it was my first but also because I was sick. Despite the odds against me I ended up finishing my first race, getting 3rd in my age group, and getting to participate in the polar plunge afterwards!

From there I decided I wanted to complete at least 1 5k a month.

January- Thin Mint Sprint in Ashland City
I got a new Personal Best, and 3rd in my age group

February- Cupids Chase in Nashville
I got a new personal best

March- Scheduled “Time to Paddy” in Gallatin TN

April- Scheduled “MS walk” in Nashville TN
Scheduled “5k @ 5pm Virtual Race”

Did you know?

I’m an ordained minister!

SURPRISE, if you didn’t know already, I am an ordained minister! When I tell people, the #1 question I get asked is “why?!”. My answer is always “Why not?!”!

I did this online on a whim one night and I’m so glad I did. It’s an awesome opportunity and really cool to be able to offer to others.

Whether that looks like doing a friends wedding, a travel wedding, or anything in between count me in!

Krislyn’s Life

The past few months and what’s to come.

Whew! How is it already June?! These months have flown right by me. As I lay in the bed with a neck injury limiting mobility I reflect over all the good the past 6 months of this year have given me.

•Celebration of life for my wonderful grandmother Patricia Smiley.
•Multiple 5ks aiding my physical and mental health.
•Donating blood to do my part for those in need, because I could be one of those in need one day!
•Had the honor to speak in two classrooms about my small business in my county.
•Traveled to North Carolina to meet a friend for the first time in person! Went to IKEA for the first time!
•Assisted in applying nails to the attenders of Night to Shine special needs prom hosted by Tim Tebow, with guest vocalist Thomas Rhett.
•Spent quality time with Callie taking walks, going for jeep/Miata rides, eating at our favorite places, and just chatting.
•Accepted my offer to work as Ministry Programs Assistant at Unity of Nashville. It has been amazing aiding in growing my community and feel the love and appreciation we have for each other.
•Became a land owner of 5 acres at the age of 20! Been fixing up the yard, keeping an eye on things, and loving on the horse next door Jetta!

•Hired two new team members to work on my Krislyn’s Kiddos and Furry Friends team!
•Became a member at Unity of Nashville and sang in the choir on Easter Sunday!
•Celebrated my Great Grandfather’s 85th birthday with all of our family.
•Facilitated two memorial services. While this isn’t the happiest thing I’ve done this year it has been such a powerful learning and emotional experience.
•Had a 21st birthday shoot with a new photographer in town.
•Stayed in Knoxville and saw Lizzo for my Golden 21st birthday with my best friends.
•Was invited to see Taylor Swift on her Eras tour just a week before, and ended up having the rain show in Nashville!
•Got my bonnaroo stuff in the mail.
•My elementary school best friend got engaged.
•Reached over 30 orders on my Etsy store.
•Celebrated my dog Jewles 10th birthday!
•Took Callie to her first “Senior Rep” shoot!
•Went to a Karen Drucker and Stowegood concert at Unity.
•Lead children’s ministry in a Montessori style teaching once a month!
•Went to Pensacola beach Flordia for a week.
•Participated in Franklin Pride with Unity!
•Hit 310 days of learning Spanish on Duolingo.
•Lots of overnight childcare, pet-care. Tutoring weekly.

What a true privilege it is to be able to pull out that many amazing things from the first 6 months of 2023. I know the rest of the year has even more great things in store. I am grateful for this life I get to live. Here is to continuing to rest and heal during this time of injury so I can get back to the things I love!
