About the Kween

My name is Nia Kennedy and I'm originally from Tallahassee,FL. Today I do most of my creative art work from Atlanta, Ga, and sign my work under the artist name ‘Kween K.’

I find inspiration in many places and have traveled to different areas in atlanta which has influenced my creative style and process. I create art because not only is it a way to express myself but, I want people to understand that their is beauty in abstract lines, colors and shapes. I specialize in Acrylic Paint and I focus on Various subject matters. I also enjoy working with Film Photography.

My art style is Abstract Expressionism. I am motivated by My daughter but Renee Stout, Joan Mitchell, Jackson Pollack and Astrid Svangren are my biggest inspirations. I have been creating art for awhile but finally took myself seriously 2 years ago. My favorite artist is Helen Frankenthaler and I find their work to be out of the box! I connect with the art community by teaching visual arts to elementary kids. My work has been shown at several art shows in Atlanta.

I intend for others to experience the freedom of expression when they see my work.
