Equipment wish list

Lakes Gravel Gang would love to own the following items, in order to make our social rides and skill sessions happen/more inclusive for all.

If you like what we do, and would like to support the group, please send us a message on Instagram and one of the team would love to chat with you.

01

Bike stands

Ever tried to teach bike mechanics on an unruley bike that’s wanting to fall over?
We’d love a few bike stands to use for bike maintenance classes, bike washing or to lend out to gals for them to practice repairing their bike at home.

02

Multi tools

We would love to equip teach ride leader with a comprehensive multi tool with chain splitter.

03

First aid kits

We would love each ride leader to have access to a group first aid kit in a tool bottle, just incase it’s needed!

04

Bike lights

Lights to be seen and to see with. We don’t want winter dark evenings to be a barrier to joining us for a group ride

05

Helmet

We would love to have a couple of spare helmets so they are in the organisers car for every ride. We’d hate for someone to forget their helmet and not be able to join us.

06

Tools

We dream of having a LGG owned comprehensive tool box that can be used for mechanics evenings as well as lent out to gals to use at home. We believe the number 1 barrier for not changing gear cables, headset bearings, bottom brackets, brake bleeds or other ‘simple’ bike maintenance tasks is the expense of tools, not a lack of interest/skills.

07

Mental health first aid course

We would like all of our ride leaders to be Mental Health first aiders.
