Age, size, shape, color, nationality, status, sexuality or beliefs does not matter, this is for you.
I am here to help you gain confidence, to improve your self-esteem, to encourage you to achieve your goals, to give you advice, to overall boost you and make you feel invincible.
I want to share with you a little bit about myself so we can get to know each other a little better. My name is Elena, I am 24 years old, I am Romanian and I grew up in Montreal, Canada. I am an only child and for the last few years, it’s only been me and my mom. She is an amazing woman, that’s why I consider her my role model. I lead the life of a normal young adult, I attend university, I go out with friends, I travel, I love trying new things and I have dreams and goals.
My childhood wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. I had it pretty rough and i wasn’t a happy kid. I had trouble at school, i was bullied by piers. Home life wasn’t easy, it made for a negative and sad environment. I didn’t have a safe place. I used to hide my feelings for a long time, i would cry in my room and as soon as I was out the door I would plaster a smile on my face because I was afraid to show weakness and vulnerability.
The first piece of advice I will give you is to do the opposite of what I did, never hide your emotions. Be true to yourself, allow yourself to express whatever it is you’re feeling, live them, communicate them and know that at any given time someone is going through what you’re going through. Communication is key to building strong and trustworthy relationships. Evaluate the connections you have and if some of them are not worth saving, don’t waste your time and energy. You deserve better. Know your worth. Value yourself.
As I grew up, I found myself faced with many obstacles. Friend problems, boy problems, family problems, money problems, health problems and the list goes on, but never have I given up. I never let anything crush my spirit, I knew I could get past my troubles. Through everything, I realized that all those challenges allowed me to learn valuable life lessons that shaped me into the person I am today. I now know that I am strong enough to achieve whatever I set my mind on. Learn, accept and transform it into something positive. Get knocked down, get up, make a change and try again.
Life is paved with obstacles. Making mistakes and failing is normal. The important thing is not to let your mistakes and failures bring you down. Learn from them, don’t repeat them and do better going forward. When you fail, take away the positive from it and try again. Someday, you will find you calling. Personally, it took me years, a lot of trials and errors, before I found what I was meant to do and who I wanted to become. I did odd jobs, I tried different things, I read, I researched and I kept up to date on many subjects in order to finally find what suited me best. The lesson to be taken away here is to never give up. It is essential to understand and to accept that.
You may feel lonely at times, I want you to know that you are not alone. You may not feel appreciated at times, that is not true, you always are. You just have to believe it. Not everyone you meet will like you, just like you don’t like everyone you meet. It’s impossible to please everyone, be true to yourself.
You may not feel confident, but confidence can be gained through life experiences and self-growth. You may feel weak, but remember that the moments of weakness will make you stronger, embrace them. You may not be motivated at times, just have a good mindset, set yourself challenges and goals, work towards them one step at a time. You may have regrets, do not regret anything. Your past brought you to your present. Embrace and love yourself, your decisions, your choices, your mistakes, your failures and your successes made you who you are today.
Feel free to write me about anything. I am here for you.
Love, Elena.
