Oh blog off!

So, I've decided to start a wee blog for a plethora of reasons but mainly to record experiences and to prop up my flagging memory... sure, come and have a nosey!

BIG NEWS!

Red Wire Women INCOMING!!

I am thrilled to be teaming up with Maddie Brew to bring you a new, working class, female strong theatre duo based in Manchester and Liverpool.

We will be performing as part of The Arden's caTaPault event in September which is seen as a spring board for contemporary theatre-makers!

More updates are on the way.

In the meantime, we're experimenting with yellow feathers, boiler suits, glitter wigs and Abba is our soundtrack...

YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!!!

APRIL 2022

This April, I'll be working with Animikii Theatre Company on their Kaspar Hauser Experiment. Check out my Instagram Highlight Reel for some behind the scenes footage of rehearsals in Bradford.

COVID-19 Conspiracy Files

This film documents the complicated, intertwined coronavirus-related conspiracy theories that flooded our screens through March & April. Lauren's conversations travelled globally as she collated and assessed the conspiracy theories that were co-existing in France, Italy, Vietnam and Australia, with those that were unique to the U.K. Using only her phone and 110 metres of tin foil, this is her creative response.

Sonder Radio + Reform Radio Anti-Isolation Project

Project Manager

BuddyLine is a series of intergenerational phone calls, set up to help combat loneliness during these tough periods of isolation.
The calls occur on a regular basis between the community of Sonder Radio (over 60s) and Reform Radio (under 28s).
The pairs are matched up based on their interests and as a listener you will hear their relationship develop through honest and genuine conversations. It is a fascinating and educational journey as two people, who would not otherwise interact in everyday society, come together to build long-lasting relationships.

If you, or someone you know would like to join the Sonder Community or the BuddyLine project, then please get in touch...

International Theatre at The Arden School of Theatre

Tasked with directing and devising an International Theatre piece with third year students, in response to Emily Dickinson's 'Hope is a thing with feathers'. Flock This Way is the introduction to an unlikely flock. They're energetic and excessively British as they explore their hopes, hopes for the audience and for the future too.
