No Excuses!
Survivor
I’m a 51-year-old mother and grandmother who has navigated a diverse and challenging journey through life. With a background in the medical field, I've built a career that spans construction administration, life insurance, and entrepreneurship. As a domestic violence survivor, both in childhood and adulthood, I’ve faced obstacles that could have held me back, but I’ve always chosen to rise above them.
Growing up in a poor, uneducated family, I became the first in my family to graduate from college on my own. For many years, I was a single mom, fiercely fighting to create a brighter future for my children. I’ve worn many hats, including that of an emergency medical technician on the ambulance, and I've embraced countless opportunities along the way.
Life has certainly thrown its share of challenges my way, but I’ve never allowed them to define me. My journey has instilled in me a relentless spirit and a commitment to personal growth. I continue to strive to be a better person every day, not just for myself, but for my family as well. My mission is to give back in any way I can, especially to those who’ve helped me on my journey of life.
