The main village social event of the year is the ‘The Village Weekend’, which happens at the beginning of every September & consists of a dinner dance (sometimes fancy dress) on the Friday night, followed by a day long village fair including a village show on Saturday and finally a Sunday church service, village history walk and picnic.

All events take place at The Wale Recreation ground in Little Shelford. The event is set up & run by the volunteers of the Little Shelford Entertainment Committee (LSEC) and all proceeds from the events are fed back into local good causes to serve the community. This year we will be supporting The Great & Little Shelford Primary School and the Little Shelford Wale Recreation ground (Save the Wale)

This year the event will take place 17th-19th September 2021 (Subject to Covid-19 restrictions).

The Friday Night - Dinner Dance
17th September 2021

This year there is NO fancy dress theme, please just ‘come as you are’ after so long apart we are just keen to get everyone together as easily as possible.

Food will be provided by Steak & Honour, Fish & Chips. (Other companies TBC)

They will each provide a ‘food van’ for the evening & orders must be placed in advance from each of their websites (Details to follow)

The Saturday - Village Fair
18th September 2021 - a free event open to anyone including a BBQ, village show, scarecrow competition, children’s games etc (updates to follow)
