Mental Health & Addictions - Private Peer Support
Lived Experience with Lindsay Civiero
My name is Lindsay. I am a daughter, a mother, a sister, a friend, and I have lived experience with trauma, addictions, and suffering with mental health.
Through some of those not-so-nice experiences, I discovered the power of Peer Support.
It was a healing like no other.
It saved my life and put me on a path towards growth, self-discovery, therapy, and then many years later, the pursuit of education in the field.
I am now a Canadian Certified Peer Support Specialist, with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation, and I hold a certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from George Brown as well. I have the great honour of helping others find themselves and their healing path through empathy, discovery, psychoeducation, and ongoing support.
I see a great need for prevention in mental health and addictions, and I have a knack for connecting with others who need help as I once did.
My purpose is to be a safe place to help you determine the root of your needs, help you create a plan, and connect you with the right supports for you to live a healthy and happy life.
If yourself, your child, or someone you know, needs the support of someone who’s been there, I offer private, confidential individual peer mentor sessions, ongoing peer support packages and psychoeducation-focused program packages.
Wondering if Private Peer Support it’s right for you or your loved one? Just reach out.
Yours in mental health,
Lindsay <3
