Hi, I'm Liz!

A teacher by day and an artist/entrepreneur all in between. You may find me at your local art center, community art studio, or even hosting a paint party at the bar up the street or a local kid's birthday party.

I grew up on the south side of Chicago, and I am a proud McAuley and DMSF Alum! I've always been surrounded by art.

My dad and brother have been teaching me painting and drawing techniques ever since I was a kid, and together we make up BrentArt, our custom art business that I started during my sophomore year of college. 

Since then, I've taught art in schools, art centers, and camps all over Illinois! From my experience I've learned that everyone can benefit from a little art in their life. I'm on a mission to make art more accessible for all, one class at a time!

I'm also an acrylic painter. My art is usually more about technique than concept. I like to experiment with high contrast work, and push it as much as I possibly can.

I create representational work focusing on textures, creases, highlights, and shadows. I'm always challenging myself to go one step further, hoping to create something better than my last just to see how good I can get it.
