Boy mom, two humans and two large dogs

Mom of two boys, 11 and 14. I was raised an only child with just a mom so having two boys was all new to me. It’s been quite a ride that will continue I am sure. They are two very different personalities and look nothing alike, one blonde and one brunette.
Ironically enough same goes for our dogs, one blonde and one brunette! And the kicker, the humans and the dogs share the same birthdays! Crazy, I know and clearly the dogs were meant to be!

Wife —

We just celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary!

I met my husband through my best friend in NYC. He was a midwest boy and I was a city girl. Opposites definitely attract. We have lived in 4 states and 5 cities … crazy to think at one point early in my life, I never wanted to marry, never wanted to have kids AND never wanted to learn how to drive. It’s wasn’t until I was pregnant with my first son at the age of 32 did I get my license! It’s been a wild ride.

Daughter —

Just the two of us…

My father passed away when I was 5 months old. I was raised by a single mother. Some people might find this sad, on the contrary, my mom gave me everything and more. She raised me to be strong and independent. She wore out 7 strollers in nyc because her way of coping with my father’s death was walking the streets of NYC. That’s where my strong connection to the streets of NYC begin- they are the siblings I never had… thankfully my mom had sisters and I was lucky enough to spend my summers in NJ with cousins who were also like the siblings I never had! My mom lives far away from me now be we talk multiple times during the day. She is my best friend and can’t imagine life without her…💗

Native New Yorker —

Raised in the city of New York. Born in 1978 and boy oh boy was it the best city to be raised in… did I have a backyard? NO, but I had Central Park and the MET in my backyard. My mom brought me to everything starting very young! The NYC Ballet 2x a month (yawn) and every museum we could go too! Spoiled with culture and grateful for it every day!

About —

Passionate Thrifter

I have loved clothes and fashion since I have been able to dress myself! As soon as I could take classes to learn more about fashion, I did! I have a bachelors degree in merchandise and textiles. Before becoming a mom, I worked for big companies and traveled the world. Sadly on a SAHM budget I was unable to shop the way I was used to, thankfully I found Poshmark about 10 years ago and the rest is history! Even if I had a 8-5p job, I would still thrift. The stores just don’t do it for me anymore! I love finding vintage items that no one else has and celebrating the classic looks that have always worked for me! Hoping to share my insight via my new IG handle for future passionate thrifters!
