A necessary program designed to create a safe and positive grooming experience

Puppy sessions

Grooming is an essential part of maintaining a dogs health and well-being, this is no secret, but it can also be a source of anxiety for many pets.

Dogs are like children. They do not come into this world knowing the language or having the coping skills to manage stress or challenging situations. They are not preprogrammed to trust the methods or techniques required to meet their skin and coat needs. Many dogs find the process of grooming unfamiliar and stressful.

Dogs learn through bonding, leadership, and security. Earning your puppy's trust during the groom is not just to make the task easier. It is about creating a positive, safe experience for your pet so we can work with them with their willingness.

These sessions are formulated to help teach your puppy to be able to endure grooming techniques, being on the table, having their feet handled, and so on. These sessions will also
Condition them to cope with grooming mentally

The optimal time to begin these puppy sessions is 10 weeks of age. As long as they are up to date on their shots and their vet gives them the okay. At this age, their grooming needs are minimal, allowing them to gain familiarity before a full groom is needed. If your puppy is already past the 10-week mark, it is not too late with help while their home, we can work with them to catch up on their learning and get them on a puppy plan.

The first session for a puppy is basically exposing them in short activities and getting them acquainted with different surroundings.
Each session will get a little longer helping them build up to a full groom by the fourth and last session.

If you or I find that your puppy is especially nervous or leary I will invite you to the grooming table for the first letting the puppy see you there, trusting me and brushing/working me to take care of them. This is very beneficial because your puppy does not yet know me, but they do know and trust you. During this time, I will also be able to show you how to properly brush and which brushes are recommended for your pups coat needs. This also allows them in their next sessions to remember they've been on the table before, it went well and you were there and it went well. Like children, they will slowly learn it's a safe, fun environment.

There are some cases where the pup devides in their mind that nails, the clipper, water etc is BAD and some do not improve. In these cases a calming medication is needed from your vet. If this does not work your vet may need to fully sedate for their and others safety. Our goal is to avoid both of these cases🙏🏼

A Few R U L E S

Boarding and Daycare

What to expect

1. Provide your own Food(boarding)
Not because im lazy or cheap lol but because most pets will get sick or dont feel well if their food is switched. And i do not want to be the reason someone doesn't feel well🐕 lets not even mention they could be allergic to a different brand...
The same goes for treats

2. Provide your own toys(boarding)
Similarly to no.1, i do NOT want to be the reason someone chews, swallows, or chokes on a toy. You know your dog best and what they can and can't handle. And please tell me their quirks, good and bad😉 that being said i do have a few toys they are welcome to with your approval.

3. No shows, late shows, and late pick ups may prompt a $20 late fee. If later than 45 minutes, it could even add a daycare fee to your bill. Please do not make this something we have to navigate🫠

4. You are responsible to thoroughly check your leashs, collars and harnesses to ensure they are intact and able to do their duty effectively. A dog gps collar may also be a good idea for you if your dog is a runner.

5. If your dog is in heat you MUST tell me and provided adequate diapers for her during her stay. I do not service pregant pets without talking to your vet first.

6. For the time being we are Cash or check only or pay through Rover (link in links page let me know, i can get you 20 dollars off if its your first time using rover)

7. I do not accept pets with fleas, that is a vet visit. You dont go to your stylist for lice😅🤐 and yes theres a good reason, what i CAN do is soak the coat with dawn and kill or Neuter the hatched fleas however as soon as those eggs hatch youll be right back where you started so a vet visit to actually take care of the problem is your best option. + id like to keep fleas away from other pets coming in for grooming or boarding.

8.if your dog is pregant or possibly pregnant i would prefer to get the okay from your vet before we schedule her to be groomed. I probably wont offer boarding at this time because I do NOT want to have mom to stress/anxiety not being home with you or fear your not coming back for her. Its too risky to lose the litter.

9.( to be continued 😆)

There will be a Boarding or Grooming agreement to sign upon arrival.

What to expect

One on one care your pet might not get at a larger, more busy salon. In-Home boarding, where your pet feels like family not just in a pen surrounded by other dogs. pawsative experience Bonding every groom session. (play breaks, patience and more delecate care a fully booked place wouldnt have time for. You can expect your pet to be fully loved during their stay. Integrity, not everyone owns the buisness, they dont always care what the outcome is. Thats not what you have here🫶🏼

I have been deep diving into all things naturally-based, leaping bunny certified, scalp + hair health, breakage, and so much more for 3 years now. learning and sharing with all of you! And now i am jumping into the world of FUR. So excited to once again learn and educate as i go!
