I am going to start by introducing myself, my name is Maisy and I have been bought up in the hospitality industry. Quite literally, when I was born my parents owned an outside catering company, sold that then bought a pub. I have grown up living in the pub since the age of ten I then started working a couple of hours at 15 and then became a food and beverage manager at 18. So I know how the clogs run! 1 Shortly after leaving the sixth form I decided I wanted to adventure into the social media industry after taking media as an A-Level. When finding out what a social media marketer does I knew it was the job for me and what perfect industry to go into than hospitality. I know from experience the industry can benefit massively from social media if it's set up correctly. Pubs, restaurants and cafes are constantly having things on, creating new menus, and adding festive drinks and weekend events. All these things need to be advertised and what's better than social media? You can potentially get the biggest reach on your social media platforms if you have someone that knows what they're doing this will lead to massive sales and a noticeably larger income.
