Allow me to introduce myself ….

I am Mabel 🤍

✨I’m not a regular mom, I’m a thrifty mom✨

My Thrifting roots run deep y’all! From as far back as I remember, going thrifting with my grandma was inspiring. June was always going to thrift shops like Goodwill, Faith Farm, and any locally owned treasure stores with me hand in hand.

June was A retired EMT and raising a little girl was never in her retirement plans. She never led me to Believe that Thrifting was associated with money or social status. If I ever went without I had no idea! It was just some thing fun that we did. The smell of the thrift that some people turn their nose up to.. for me was equivalent to a Cotton linen candle. A familiar sense of comfort if you will.

Witnessing first hand the variety of clothing, shoes, and accessories taught me how much diversity is in the world. It fed my passion for creativity and fashion. It taught me patience, gratitude… And although I’m sure she wasn’t aware of it at the time, gave me inspiration as an entrepreneur.

God needed a brilliant Angel which led to my adoption at the early age of 14. I call this my “I know it all” phase in life. My parents picked up where June left off and taught me value. That everything comes from some type or resource given to us from our planet.

One could only stop and think that you can only give so much right? Pairing that with constant taking.. seems so.. self destructive.

I needed to revise the image of Thrifting.. I want to promote purpose and eliminate the emotional aspect of “New and shiny”. We slowly accumulate piles of nonsense that we end up getting rid of.. Only to turn around and re-acquire something meaningless in its place. Something that took a resource to make.

I’m not only a wife and mother but I’m a Thrifty Wife and Thrifty Mother. I stand by that proudly because I know first hand that second chance is just a valuable as the first. My whole life is where it is now because of second chance. My passion for fashion along side my “Hippie” like mentality is why I do what I do. I dedicate my attempts to Revolutionize the mindset on fashion daily. I breath life into the Thrift. I repurpose Value.
