Baking the World a Better Place
Hi I’m Macey! I recently rediscovered my passion of all things baking. I love pushing myself to try things out of the ordinary and dazzle my friends and family with my creations. Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll get to try some of them! Keep swiping!
My Favorites
Lemon Poppy Seed Cookies
Caramel and Pumpkin Ganache Pie
This one is fairly new to me but without a doubt my favorite thing I have EVER eaten. So perfectly light and fluffy but full and flavor and the sweet and salty, oh my god you need to try this ASAP!
Croissants
Don’t ask me why croissants were one of the first things I really started baking. They’re fun and oh so delicious but also kinda tough and time consuming. Very worth it but also takes practice.
Vegan Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
Am I vegan? No. Am I gluten free? No. Are these some of the best chocolate chip coolies I’ve ever had? Yes. Seriously. No one would ever guess they’re vegan and gluten free. So soft and chewy and hits every spot a chocolate chip cookie is supposed to.
Lemon Blueberry Scones
Another personal favorite. Perfectly summery and sweet. These scones were packed with flavor, moist and fluffy inside with a delicious lemon glaze.
Apple Cider Donut Bread
The best fall treat! The perfect mix between a cider mill donut and Costco’s brown sugar butter loaf (ifyky!). So so sooo moist and delicious. 10/10 will be a fall staple.
Buttermilk Biscuits
You can’t go wrong with a good biscuits. These are easy enough to whip up for breakfast and they’re perfect for an egg sandwich, with butter or with jelly.
Maple Glazed Pumpkin Scones
I love myself a good scone and what’s a better fall treat than pumpkin AND maple inside a fluffy scone?! This is perfect for brunches and chilly mornings.
Blueberry Lemon Pie
Blueberry and lemon is one of my favorite flavor combinations. It’s so summery and delicious. This pie was so different. Always a winner.
Macarons
One of the treats that started it all, just ask my cousins. I was determined to improve. These definitely take a lot of work but they’re worth it in the end for these sweet, chewy cookies.
Milkbar Birthday Cake
If you know me, then you know I love sprinkles so obviously I loved making this cake just as much as I loved eating it. One of the best cakes out there.
Bagels
Who doesn’t love bagels?! Plain, everything and cinnamon sugar. These were a hit with everyone that tried them.
Caramel Popcorn
I took this to a family party and it was devoured so fast. No one can stay away from it. Your classic caramel popcorn, salty and sweet and oh so yummy!
Rosemary Olive Oil Bagels
If you love the rosemary olive oil bagels from Brueggar’s Bagels as much as I do then you will LOVE these!! I finally perfected the bagel. Soft and fluffy and chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside.
My Recipes
I can’t give you all my secrets but here I’ll share my favorite recipes, baking and cooking! Enjoy!
25 Days of Christmas
aka Cookies of Christmas
I set a goal for myself to bake 25 kinds of cookies in December!!! Definitely got a late start on this but there’s still time. Stay tuned to see what I bake! Also don’t be shy and send me suggestions or your favorite cookies, I love it.
Hot Cocoa Cookies
One of my favorite things about winter... hot cocoa... in a cookie!! This was the perfect way to start off a month of making cookies.
Cherry Almond Cookie
I know this is only the second cookie but I think I found my new favorite cookie ever. A crumbly almond shortcake with a maraschino cherry in the middle and a sweet cherry almond glaze.
Vegan Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies
Don’t be a hater. You wouldn’t even know this was vegan if I didn’t tell you. I like this one better than a regular chocolate chip cookie but maybe that’s just me. The way it stays soft and melts in your mouth... mmmmmmmm.
Sugar Cookies
Your classic decorated sugar cookies. Each one is unique and made with love. They held their shape perfectly, not too hard, not too soft and a deliciously sweet Royal icing to top it off.
