MY STORY + EXPERIENCE

My career began when I started my own website at age 12, cleverly called The Chic Brown Chick. I learned how to code, design, and create content about style and beauty. The site combined trend reports and interviews of game changers and business owners within the industry.

At age 16, I was discovered by my city’s main newspaper and print publication- The Baltimore Sun. I wrote a style column titled “Style Beat” for two years, directing and styling shoots, and writing witty and engaging articles for style fanatics.

Once I graduated high school, I made the leap to New York City to continue my studies, build my life, and experience a fresh environment.

I am currently a sophomore studying Integrated Advertising + Marketing BBA with a minor in Graphic Design at Pace University. My studies allow me to gain insight about the world of creating + executing concepts while doing so in a way that integrates aesthetics and the fundamentals of design.

Throughout my freshman year I was the Digital Community Lead for an informational website about reproductive health and sexual education + pleasure. Allbodies, formerly Cycles + Sex, allowed me to gain insight about my own body while creating fun content to help all individuals learn and feel good! I helped manage the Social Media channels, write for the website, & be the main communicator with our audience.

In my sophomore year, I am currently freelance writing, brand consulting, and modeling for a variety of brands that align with my values.

Sustainability, acceptance, diversity, + joy are all factors that guide me throughout my career and towards my future.
