About MAoT

Mutual Aid of Tulsa

Mutual Aid of Tulsa is a grassroots, non-hierarchical group of community members connecting people and groups passionate about collective care.

We began as a few acquaintances discussing and planning on creating free community fridges (@TulsaFreedge) to begin addressing food insecurity from a different perspective, mutual aid, solidarity—not charity. We believe everyone deserves everything they need to survive and access to whole, fresh foods and prepared meals is a vital part of that equation.
We are always learning more about the rich and long history of mutual aid and we encourage you to explore, learn, and honor that history with us..

We are still a small group of neighbors sharing skills and making decisions on how to kick-off our first Freedge (coming soon!) this winter.

What We Do

Mutual Aid of Tulsa

MAoT is currently focusing on Food Support as a group and recruiting community members to continue developing as an organization.
MAoT, on social media, acts as a community bulletin for givers and receivers of mutual aid by sharing (with permission) requests submitted or spotted in local groups/pages for financial, shelter/food/essentials access and sharing resources available through mutual aid or non-profit organizations in the local area.

Suggestions? Send us a DM on IG, Twitter, FB!
