Hi, I am Marjolein!

I am a visual artist from the Netherlands and my focus lies on fine art (composition) photography. My work is often inspired by the things I see in everyday life. I try to look beyond the distractions and capture a moment, a small detail or the light. I move through life as an observer and a good listener but sometimes the words won't come. My creations however, let me fill this void.

Photography can be subjective, and reflects my view on this world. My goal is to inspire people to look closely at the world around them, to discover beauty in unusual but also in common places. I hope this work connects in some way with those who view it.

Some random things about me: I am a morning person and I really love poetry and old illustrated books. My favourite season is autumn (or a freezing winter!). I feel at home in nature, especially in the forest and in the mountains. All animals are my friends, horses and cats in particular.
