Martin Henderson
Martin Henderson is a New Zealand actor born on October 8, 1974, in Auckland. He began acting at the age of 13 in the local TV production *Strangers*. He gained fame in New Zealand for his role as Stuart Neilson in the soap opera *Shortland Street* (1992–1995), which became the country's longest-running drama.
Henderson moved to Australia, appearing in TV shows like *Echo Point* and *Home and Away*. In 1997, he relocated to the United States to pursue a Hollywood career, training at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City. He starred in the war film *Windtalkers* (2001) and gained international recognition for his role in the horror film *The Ring* (2002). Other notable works include *Bride and Prejudice* (2004), *Torque* (2004), and *Grey's Anatomy* (2015–2017), where he played Dr. Nathan Riggs.
Currently, Henderson stars as Jack Sheridan in the Netflix series *Virgin River* (2019–present). He has also appeared in the slasher film *X* (2022) and the TV mini-series *The Gloaming* (2020). Known for his versatility, Henderson has worked across genres, from drama to horror.
