I’m Melanie Anzidei, a sports journalist based in New Jersey and the NYC area.

As a lifelong athlete — who still plays soccer several times a week, and is always buried in the latest headlines — I am passionate about sports, and the opportunities they provide for everyday people. I’m eager to find those forgotten or underreported sports stories, and bring them to the forefront for the rest of the world to see. I’m also passionate about covering the explosive growth of soccer in the United States as we look ahead to the World Cup coming here in 2026 (and maybe even 2027).
