My Top Picks —
SLEEPERS #1
At least once a week I’ll suggest a few films that‘s been under the radar, a little odd and/or campy but totally awesome. You know, a Sleeper!
Recommendation #1 The Swimmer
From 1968 Directed by Frank Perry and starring the always engaging, Burt Lancaster. This has a surreal, dream-like energy about it but never leans too hard on it, just enough to make it an unsettling look at growing old while your past demons stay young.

1972’s Bone. Directed by the unflappable Larry Cohen (RIP) starring Yaphet Kotto (RIP)
Another surreal look at modern life that deals with white guilt: 70’s style!
Recommendation #3 Caged
From 1950. Directed by John Cromwell. Starring the great Eleanor Parker but is utterly upstaged by the even better Agnes Moorhead. Sorry, Orange is the New Black but you ain’t even in the same county jail as this one!

Writer of words, tattooer of tats, and recommender of movies
I’m not sure what this will be yet if anything. I have never had luck with such things and yet I keep trying. There might be something to that. I write unfinished books, flower tattoos and love making movie lists/so there’s that?
