Middle Sister Clinical Consulting provides clinical director services to Illinois RNs, NPs, and estheticians.

As an Illinois Full Practice Authority Nurse Practitioner, I am prepared to provide state compliant clinical directorship and regulatory structure so patients may enjoy safe aesthetic treatments, and providers may have the peace of mind that they are functioning within their scope of practice and within compliance of Illinois laws and regulations.

In the state of Illinois, the following providers must have oversight when it comes to aesthetic procedures such as: botox (neuromodulators/neurotoxins), dermal fillers, and lasers to name a few: RNs, NPs (without full practice authority/FPA), PAs.

We provide oversight for the following:
Neurotoxins/Wrinkle relaxers (Botox, Xeomin, Dysport)
Dermal filler (hyaluronic acid, PRP/PRF)
Chemical peels
Microneedling
Lasers

Microdermabrasion
Dermaplaning
Radio frequency
Hydrafacial machine treatment

Clinical Director Services

• Clinical Directorship is a monthly recurring service
• Tiered monthly services starting at $500 (starting at $300 for Advancing Aesthetics members)
• Competitive onboarding & GFE fees
• We will provide the appropriate providers with Clinical Director Agreements & Management Service Agreements
• We provide our own Medical Director malpractice policy

Novice Clinic

Upon onboarding, one (1) hands on clinic with your Clinical Director. Your Clinical Director will be present for treatment of your models for real-time guidance, observation, and questions so you gain confidence in your assessment skills and technique.

EMR Setup

Implementing our procedure consent forms, documentation templates, pre/post care instructions into your EMR. Assistance in setting up your EMR infrastructure- appointments/bookings, automations, business bank setup.

We have experience with the following platforms- Aesthetic Record, PracticeQ, Vagaro, Charm Health.

GFE (Good Faith Exams) & Chart sign off

Timely completion of GFEs via our EMR Charm Health. This is to ensure your patients are appropriate candidates for the aesthetic procedures rendered by you.

Timely completion of your chart sign offs on your EMR.

Standard Operating Policies & Procedures (SOPs)

Access to Standard Operating Policies & Procedures (SOPs) to ensure you as the provider carry out treatments and procedures safely and compliantly

Mentorship check in

One (1) 30-45 minute monthly mentorship check in.
Discuss any cases during the month, educational pearls/answer your questions, review charts, feedback

Communication

Phone, text, email support during normal business hours for questions/concerns

Prescription access

Prescription access for adverse events related to an aesthetic treatment/procedure
Example- If a patient develops a cold sore outbreak secondary to an aesthetic procedure/treatment, I will send an electronic prescription for an anti-viral

Meet your clinical consultant

Aileen Santos is board certified by the AANP as a Family Nurse Practitioner. With over 12 years of combined healthcare experience, she is dually licensed in both WI and IL; with Full Practice Authority in IL.

She currently works part time in a dermatology clinic managing general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology patients. There, she also oversees nurse driven procedures such as microneedling, broad band light (BBL), laser hair reduction, NBVUB/lightbox, and XTRAC laser. Additionally, she works part time in her private practice- Middle Sister Skincare Clinic. Her hybrid private practice offers virtual dermatology visits, as well as mobile aesthetics (Tox, filler, chemical peels, microneedling).

With 5 years experience in both dermatology and aesthetics, she is excited to share her expertise to help you grow your aesthetic knowledge and business!
