Your most important points of contact to Miriam’s Heart!
Our name is inspired by the sister of Moses, the legendary leader of the ancient Hebrews, and the selfless way she advocated for her brother. Before he could lead millions of others out of great oppression, saving Moses himself required extraordinary action. It was the compassion, bravery, and care in Miriam’s heart that gave her the strength to watch over and advocate for her brother in dangerous circumstances, ensuring both his security in the arms of a daughter of Pharaoh and a way to keep him safely connected with his family.
All children who were adopted or in foster care have been traumatized. Even after a child is in a safe family, they can have lifelong effects from those experiences. In most cases, being safe will result in increased behaviors and challenges. Parents and caregivers need special skills and support to overcome obstacles and help the children in their care. In response, Miriam’s Heart offers tangible support by anticipating their needs, mentoring and training, and providing grant funding to help children and families thrive!
As a result, children and families can grow and heal together with the ongoing support only Miriam’s Heart provides.
