Please arrive on time. I honor a 10 minute window of grace because I know life happens. If you arrive later than that and time allows, I will still perform your service. Understand that you may have to forfeit a portion of this pre scheduled service as I have other guests and a time limit. If we are not able to make the time work and have to reschedule, that is ok. Please understand that my cancellation policy will come into play. No one wants to be a hard ass but the appointment time can not be filled on such short notice. This counts as a “day of” cancellation and your total service amount will be charged.
Contrary to some advice out there…it is not better to have a color service performed on unwashed hair. One (possibly two) days since your last shampoo is ok. But beyond that it’s actually detrimental to your results. When natural oils build up on your scalp, it creates a barrier by coating the hair shaft. This makes it difficult for the product to lift or deposit properly. It also makes it much harder for us stylists to section your hair for precision placement. I do a lot of foilage and when the hair is saturated in oil, it is very difficult to back comb and achieve the blended tease I’m aiming for.
Expect to be in my chair for roughly 2 - 2 1/2 hours. We provide drinks for you! But if you think you might be hungry at any point…it’s ok to bring snacks! Bonus if you bring some for me! Just kidding…I just want one bite.
If I have time and the lighting is in my favor…I’m gonna take a million pictures of your hair. As long as you are comfortable with it. If you are then I would love it if you could wear a neutral colored shirt to your appointment. Blacks, whites, tans etc. You obviously don’t have to plan your outfit for this if you’d rather not. I’ve just found that busy patterns and loud colors don’t showcase your gorgeous new hair the way a plain light or solid neutral will. I’m all about my after pics and creating the most flattering shots.
