My story

Beauty from within

My story actually begins here in Frankfort where I got my first salon gig in 2005. After graduating beauty school and advancing into being a full time stylist, my free spirit took off for adventures.
Oahu was home from 2009 to 2012 when my husband enlisted in the Army. Throughout my time in Hawaii I was a stylist for Paul Brown Salons, travelled as an inter-island educator for Wella professionals providing in-salon education, and trained annually at the Wella Studio in L.A.
In 2012 I began independently providing color services solely to the military community. This was such a special time in my career connecting with other military spouses while sharing my passion for hair.
Eventually the army took us to Washington D.C. where I found a new salon home in Arlington, Virginia. Throughout this time I took training opportunities in London, Montreal, and New York City, training with industry leaders such as Nick Arrojo, Gerard Scarpaci, Nick Berardi, Fabio Sementilli, and founder Kathy Simon of Mekka systems and education.
In 2015, my colleague and I opened Point & Line Hair Lounge in Alexandria, Virginia. Working alongside my bestie was an amazing experience and I continue to watch Cody expand and grow Point & Line from afar.
A couple of years later I felt a pull to connect more deeply with myself and completed my 200 hour Yoga teacher training at Refresh Yoga Center. This is where I took notice to some of the perpetuated salon culture and began to adopt the principles of yoga into salon life as well as question how we can better serve our clients and one another as creators.
Now that military life is behind us, our journey took us back to the suburbs of Chicago and I am so excited to be able to share my vast adventures and experience with my friends and clients alike. My passion is truly in helping others feel better inside and out.
Want to work together? I can’t wait to connect!
