About

MomDoesTooMuch

Hi all! I’m Leanne Stanley, a mother of four and Social Studies teacher. I love history, clothes, travel, holiday decor, and of course, my babies (of the fur and human kind)! Traveling for fun always turns into an educational journey of some kind, so I decided to throw some pictures up and give some info and helpful tips about the places we’ve been. We also have a family YouTube channel that is like a dying art because my kids are getting older and basically refuse to look ridiculous on camera.

In November of 2019, I decided to stop coloring my hair and let nature take its course. Recently I decided that I needed to make sure that nature hooked me up with some bangin’ locks so I joined Monat, so not only mine would be awesome, but yours would to. I would love to help you in your hair journey, just ask, I’m always available! Swipe for Monat 🤎

Places we love

Helpful tips for the places we’ve been, and if there is history involved, you know I’m adding that, too!

Disney World

Is there any place better in the world than Disney World?!? With four main theme parks, water parks, a shopping mecca, and resorts galore, Disney has my heart. My travel agent, Alicia, is amazing!!! She has gotten us every fast pass, dining reservation, and discount my heart desires. Shoot me a DM and I’ll give you her number!

Perdido Key, Fl

It’s part of Pensacola (but it’s the best part), so you get to watch the Blue Angels fly overhead while enjoying the most beautiful beach Florida offers. It’s still pretty laid back, so I never see people I know which, if you’re a teacher you know, that’s a vacation in itself. Orange Beach and Gulf Shores are close by for the more “vacationy” type experiences, but you’re just outside the craziness. I love the laid back pace.

Georgia’s Waterfalls

So far, we have visited Tallulah Falls and Toccoa Falls as a family of 5 (me and my four babes). Tallulah Falls is a beautiful hike and a beautiful experience, the stairs to the gorge are a bit much for littles, but it’s totally worth it. Dogs can’t go down the stairs, so don’t bring your doggy bestie unless you’re viewing from afar. A tight rope walker went across the falls and the remnants from the apparatus are still there, so thats super cool.
Toccoa Falls is a super short walk, but it’s absolutely beautiful. Dogs are welcome, but they, nor you can swim in the water. There is a memorial there for the people who lost their lives when the dam above the falls broke in 1977. If you’re not up to hiking, but want to see something beautiful, this is the place for you!

St Simons Island

Super laid back vibe, a little fancy, 100% dog friendly. We actually went to St Simons Island when we were just coming out of the shut down, when we didn’t want to be around people, but we HAD to get out of the house. It’s one of Georgia’s barrier islands and it’s absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of restaurants to pick up food or eat in, but it was all fantastic. We went and got ice cream at Moo Cow Ice Cream and it was amazing! Dogs are allowed on the beach anytime before Memorial Day and after Labor Day, but just during the early morning and evening hours during the summer. Our dogs loved it, and so did we!

Welcome to our family! Some of us are crazy and some of us are grumpy, but join us in our journey.
