Ms. Ally’s Mobile Art Class

Art Comes to Your kiddos and You! Serving Marietta, Ga locations.

I am an art educator with a bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Kennesaw State University. I graduated top of my class suma cum laude. I’ve taught art classes for Cobb County Parks and Rec. with various age ranges and skills, including those with physical and mental disabilities. I taught elementary school art for Cherokee County schools before deciding to stay at home with my two young daughters.

I love all art and art history. Textile art is my passion. I make embroidery and mixed media pieces for sale and commission.

What to expect...

It’s starts with picking your package...

First, know that I only teach on
Wednesday’s. Depending on the lesson you choose is how many Wednesday’s I will be coming. The lessons will be 45 minutes to 1 hour. Also know that I only travel to places 10-15 minutes from my residence. I live near Marietta High School. Your address will be asked during first contact.

You contact me telling me what package you have chosen, and how many children will be attending.

Even if you have children of multiple age groups attending the same lesson (example age 6 and age 12) it can still be fun and engaging for both. They can learn from each other and help each other. I will adapt the lesson for both ages.

A covid and liability waiver will be emailed to you. You will then email it back signed, or sign it and have it for me the day of the lesson.

If there are any allergies in the household please let me know BEFORE the lesson, not the day of.

If the day of the lesson your household has traveled in the last 2 weeks out of state or the country please let me know. If you or anyone in your household has had a fever in the past 2 weeks please let me know. Masks are not required. I will be wearing a face shield. Hand washing will happen when I arrive. I will bring a temporal thermometer and temperatures will be taken of all who are attending.

I will come to your home 10-15 minutes prior to lesson to set up.

Payment will be made before the lesson begins. I accept cash or check. The check has to be made out to me. I will give you a receipt upon payment.

Make sure whomever is engaging in the lesson is wearing something that, if it gets messy, will bring no worries.

If you picked a package where you have the supplies, make sure they are available. No matter what we will continue the lesson. Sometimes I might have extra supplies, but there will be a supply fee added to the charge.

The lesson must be in a room that is well lit and ventilated with a table and access to a sink.

Depending on the lesson, their could be paint or a mess, I will bring a vinyl tablecloth, but be aware that accidents can happen and I will not be liable.

My iPad is used often as a visual aid. An internet source is appreciated.

You can accompany your children and engage during the lesson if you like. It is not required. I only require that you do not leave the household while I am there. Relax, have a coffee, and kick your feet up. Or do chores that you have been meaning to do, or if you have to work from home- go ahead. Just remember that if you engage during the lesson that it is not about creating art that looks like mine or “perfection”.
