Ben Hart: Up Close ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

✨ A Mind-Bending Journey into the Impossible -
Give yourself a nice confusing treat this Fringe by heading along to Ben Hart and his extraordinary close-up magic show. The fast-paced performance brilliantly blends audience participation with astonishing feats of mentalism, escapology, and object manipulation that defy explanation.

Strategic camera placement ensures everyone witnesses every impossible moment, while volunteers become unwitting accomplices in their own amazement. The magician's rapid-fire patter initially feels overwhelming, but pay attention – this calculated misdirection makes the eventual revelations all the more jaw-dropping.

This isn't passive entertainment – it demands and rewards engagement. Ben reads minds with uncanny accuracy, and manages to create moments of pure astonishment (if you can keep up!).

Highly recommended for adults who still possess childlike wonder and willingness to focus. Come prepared to have your perception of what's possible completely transformed.

Sh!t Faced Shakespeare: A Mid Summer’s Night Dream ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What happens when one classically trained Shakespearean actor gets absolutely wrecked while the rest try to keep the show on track? Pure, unfiltered mayhem.

This rowdy, joyous production is a whirlwind of improv, audience participation, and slapstick brilliance, where the line between high art and drunken debauchery is gleefully obliterated. One moment, you’re admiring a faithful reimagining of the Bard’s work; the next, you’re watching a sloshed Demetrius attempt a monologue while hiccupping through prosecco-fueled giggles.

With dedicated performers navigating the chaos with comedic precision, Shit-Faced Shakespeare feels like Shakespeare’s Globe met a uni pub crawl and decided to put on a show. Unpretentious, refreshingly unpredictable, and downright hilarious, this is the most fun you’ll ever have watching the Bard go off the rails.

Messy Friends ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A glorious explosion of drag, dance, and raw self-expression, Messy Friends is unlike anything I’ve seen before. This club-kid-esque dream smashes drag norms, catapulting us into a world of ecstasy.

The hip-hop segment stole my heart, pulsing with energy, rhythm, and attitude. The costumes were next-level—bold, bizarre, and breathtaking. But what truly set this show apart was the deeply personal touch, with pre-recorded videos giving us a glimpse into the artists behind the personas.

At its core, Messy Friends is a riot of vulnerability and high-voltage performance, where the lines between reality and fantasy blur. I’m obsessed, and I’d dive into this chaotic, beautiful universe again in a heartbeat.

Bad Mums ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Candid, controversial and funny, Bad Mums is a comedy show for parents who’ve stopped pretending they have it all together. Nikki’s sharp wit and fearless honesty about the realities of motherhood had the audience in stitches, especially when she invited them to confess their worst parenting moments—with no judgment, only laughs.

Special guest Daniel Delby (from 2 White Guys Rapping) delivered a hysterical improvised rap/love song, proving that this show thrives on spontaneity and audience involvement.

Not for the prudish—this is comedy for the gloriously unfiltered. While still an emerging act with room to grow, Bad Mums has serious potential and is already a wildly entertaining night out for those who like their humour raw and real. I was in my element!
