About me
A big girl in the big city
I’m doing my best to stay positive about the state of the world and find beautiful clothing in my size. Caught between my love of all the green growing things and the concrete jungle.

New York City is the center of the universe, but every once in a while I need to get away from the hustle and bustle and be somewhere where the trees outnumber the people! Here are my favorite escapes.
Get away from the noise of the city at the beautiful Met Cloisters. Featuring amazing gardens, medieval art and a stunning view of the Hudson, you’ll feel transported back to a time before car horns.
Located about two hours north of the city is the perfect hippie wonderland you’ve been searching for. I love going to their monthly full moon parties, but they also have yoga, art classes and workshops. If you get the chance to go to an event, get there early and explore the grounds!
A short(ish) train ride out of the city, and you’ll be traipsing up and down some of the best trails around. My favorite trail starts near the Garrison train station, and for bonus points you can go swimming in the Hudson River!
A little closer to home you’ll find the best public atrium in the city. Some of the most beautiful old buildings in NYC keep their atrium open to the public during business hours, and this mid century wonder boasts a greenhouse filled with trees and peaceful energy just a few blocks east of grand central!
