My Top Picks

Treatments for all skin types

Discover my favourite treatments and this month's top picks.

#1 The Carboxytherapy Facial

I introduced this facial some years ago and have been blown away with the results. Every client who has this falls asleep which is testament to just how relaxing it is. It lasts and hour and is £65 and I include some additional treats in depending on what your skin needs.

This minimally invasive treatment can offer long lasting skin improvements such as:

Elastin stimulation
Tissue tightening and brightening
Skin regeneration
Reduction of dark under-eye circles
Improvement in circulation
Improved lymphatic drainage

During the treatment, a Carboxytherapy Gel is applied to the face in an even layer. A Carboxytherapy Activator Face Mask is then pressed firmly onto the gel. The interface produces a specific amount of carbon dioxide, which is infused into the skin.
During the treatment you may feel a slight tingling and the treated area can become mildly red due to a sudden deposit of oxygen. Within 5 minutes post treatment, the carbon dioxide applied to the skin is completely replaced by oxygen. No downtime.

Depending on the desired results a series of between 4 to 8 treatments of non-invasive carboxytherapy may be required. After having a course of carboxytherapy treatments, the average effects last (until you need the next course). This can be added into several facials depending on your skin type and suitability.

#2 The 3 in 1 Skin Boosting Facial

I created this facial to allow more flexibility in treatments. No two facials should ever be the same because our skin is always changing, particularly in climates such as ours here in the UK. Again it lasts for an hour and is £65 and you can add on a neck and shoulder massage and even a chakra balance.

Combining our Cliniccare targeted facials, Ice Globes, No Needle Mesotherapy and LED using a Dermo skin booster. The facial also includes a light enzyme painless peel.

Ice Globes Stimulates Blood Circulation
Brightens Skin
Reduces Puffiness
Minimizes the Appearance of Fine Lines & Wrinkles Sculpts Jaw

Perfect for
Skin rejuvenation and revitalisation
Lines, wrinkles, sun damage
Rosacea
Uneven skin tone and pigmentation
Dark under eye circles or crow’s feet
Dull, tired and thin skin
Problematic, oily congested skin
Mild acne scarring

No Needle Mesotherapy- An electromagnetical pulse temporarily disrupts skins intercellular electrical connections so active ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamins, antioxidants and other substances can therefore penetrate the skin without the need for injections.

LED An advanced photofacial system that utilises light energy to alter biological activity in the skin for a younger, healthier complexion.

Skin will feel plumper, hydrated & calmer.

#3 The High Frequency Facial

This is not a new device- we trained in this way back in 2006 and it had been around long before then too. It's made a huge come back and for good reason. If you have this done at any other clinics make sure they have a recognised qualification in facial and body electrical therapies not just a day course! This uses current and in the wrong hands can cause damage!

The high-frequency electrodes can be filled with two types of inert gas:

Argon gas – which produces a subtle violet glow it is used to help treat existing acne and prevent future breakouts. The production of ozone will successfully target and inhibit the acne-producing bacteria.
It produces a deeply penetrating germicidal and drying effect in order to treat the most severe cases of acne. The enriched oxygen molecules produced by high-frequency machines are effective in helping to heal and revitalize the skin.
Direct high-frequency also regulates sebum production and combats oiliness on the surface on the skin. There are various lotions and potions that we use in order to create the necessary ozone and again everyone is different.

Neon gas – which produces an orange glow is used in treating aging skin because it has a toning effect and stimulates blood vessels, thus improving skin color. It brings warmth to the area and this promotes blood circulation and encourages cellular turnover.

Reducing dark undereye circles
Puffiness
Increases collagen production
Increases lymphatic drainage

Why we love it, it can be added on to most facials depending on your skin type and what you are trying to achieve. I love adding LED to this facial particularly when there is a significant amount of inflammation present because you really do see results very quickly.

Where Mysa began

From Cambridge to Cruise Ships

After finishing my A Levels I had plans to go to Uni to study Psychology but things didn't quite go to plan. In 2006 I decided to enrol at the prestigious Cambridge School of Beauty Therapy and in 2007 I qualified with two international diplomas.
Since graduating I have worked on board cruise liners as a skincare specialist, luxury spas and salons, London Fashion week the Clothes Show. I have trained with world renowned make up artists and have assisted on editorials with Rankin Film and Photography.

In 2018 shortly after moving back from Cyprus I completed my teaching qualifications and began freelancing as a trainer for SkinBase before becoming a approved training provider for 4T Medical. I taught in colleges as well as my old beauty school as well as across the UK at colleges and clinics.

In 2019 I wanted a more permanent base to be able to offer private one to one training and so Mysa was born, a beautifully built studio at home which enabled me to be there for my little girl more. During lockdown my friend Ashleigh and I pivoted our training online and collaborated with the likes of Nicky Hambleton Jones from Channel 4's 10 years younger & Ale Chavez MUA to bring together like minded women across the globe to provide free workshops.

I now focus mostly on skincare and work with Cliniccare and will be introducing a new skincare line as well as lots of other exciting treatments later in 2025.
