MYSTIC UNITY INK SECURITY DEPOSIT POLICY

1. Security Deposit Requirement:

To secure an appointment for tattoo or piercing services, clients must provide a non-refundable security deposit of $50 or 25% of the total estimated service cost, whichever is higher. This deposit will be credited towards the final bill and is required to confirm the booking for both tattoo and piercing appointments.

2. Payment Method:

The non-refundable security deposit for tattoo and piercing services is payable exclusively via Interac. The remaining balance can be settled at the appointment using Interac, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, or GPay.

3. Deposit Application:

The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of the tattoo or piercing service at the time of your appointment.

4. Rescheduling:

Clients wishing to reschedule their tattoo or piercing appointment must notify us at least 48 hours before their scheduled time. With proper notice, the deposit will be applied to the new appointment date.

5. Cancellation and No-show:

If a client cancels with less than 48 hours notice, does not attend, is unprepared (e.g., sunburned, lacks ID), or arrives more than 15 minutes late for either a tattoo or piercing appointment, the deposit will be forfeited. This policy accounts for the time and resources reserved for your session.

6. Deposit Validity:

In the event of a cancellation for either service, the deposit will be held for 30 days from the original booking date. If the client does not rebook, reply in a timely manner, or reach out within this period, the deposit will be void. A new deposit will be required to rebook for any service.

7. Custom Tattoo Revision:

A non-refundable deposit is required to initiate the tattoo design process. This fee covers the artist's time dedicated to creating a unique piece tailored to your specifications. Clients may request one redraw and two minor adjustments after the initial design. Additional changes will incur a new drawing fee. It is essential that clients provide detailed descriptions and reference images upfront.

8. Intoxicated Client:

We maintain a safe, professional environment and do not serve clients under the influence of alcohol or drugs for any service. Signs of intoxication, such as slurred speech or inappropriate behavior, will result in immediate appointment cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.

9. Confirmation:

Once the deposit is received, an appointment confirmation for the tattoo or piercing service will be sent via text message, along with an e-receipt. Clients are responsible for ensuring their availability at the scheduled time.

10. Multiple Booking Discount:

Clients booking multiple tattoo or piercing sessions may be eligible for a reduced deposit percentage on subsequent bookings. Please inquire for details.

11. Refund Policy:

While deposits are generally non-refundable for both tattoo and piercing services, exceptions may be considered in cases of documented medical emergencies. Each case will be reviewed individually.

12. Deposit Transfer:

Clients may transfer their deposit for either service to a friend or family member, subject to studio approval. Please contact your artist for transfer requests.

13. Policy Changes:

This policy may be revised at Mystic Unity Ink's discretion. Any updates will be promptly communicated to clients with existing appointments for both tattoo and piercing services.

Client Agreement:

At Mystic Unity Ink, we value the time, talent, and expertise of our artists and piercers. To ensure a fair and respectful environment for everyone, clients acknowledge and agree to comply with this policy by booking an appointment and providing a security deposit for either tattoo or piercing services, including understanding that arriving intoxicated will lead to appointment cancellation and deposit forfeiture.     TATTOO AFTERCARE TIPS —

    • TREAT YOUR NEW TATTOO AS A FRESH WOUND.

    • ALWAYS WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE TOUCHING YOUR NEW TATTOO TO AVOID ANY BACTERIA AND INFECTIONS.

    • LEAVE THE SECOND SKIN ON FOR AT LEAST 3-5 DAYS. DO NOT PREMATURELY REMOVE THE SECOND SKIN, AS IT COULD POTENTIALLY PULL THE TATTOO INK WITH IT.

    • IF YOU EXPERIENCE ANY DISCOMFORT OR ITCHINESS WHILE WEARING THE SECOND SKIN, PLEASE REMOVE IT IMMEDIATELY.

    • NO SWIMMING, SOAKING, OR SUN TANNING FOR AT LEAST 2 WEEKS. THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN'T SHOWER; IT MEANS YOU CAN'T SOAK.

    • REMOVE THE SECOND SKIN AFTER 3-5 DAYS WITH COLD WATER BECAUSE WARM WATER CAN LEAVE RESIDUE FROM THE SECOND SKIN ADHESIVE. GENTLY WASH THE TATTOO WITH UNSCENTED SOAP AND WATER, AND PAT DRY.

    • IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SECOND SKIN, PLEASE REMOVE THE COVER ON YOUR TATTOO AFTER 2 HOURS AND GENTLY WASH THE TATTOO WITH UNSCENTED SOAP AND WATER, AND THEN PAT IT DRY.

    • APPLY A LAYER OF AQUAPHOR/HEALING OINTMENT THREE TIMES A DAY UNTIL THE TATTOO IS HEALED.

    • DO NOT PICK AT SCABS IF THEY ARE PRESENT, AND WEAR CLEAN AND LOOSE CLOTHING.

    • KEEP OUT OF SUNLIGHT AND OCEANS. SUN EXPOSURE, SKIN TRAUMA, AND OTHER FACTORS CAN ALSO IMPACT THE APPEARANCE AND LONGEVITY OF A TATTOO.

    • IT IS ADVISED TO MOISTURIZE YOUR TATTOO DAILY, EVEN AFTER IT'S HEALED, TO KEEP A HEALTHY-LOOKING TATTOO.
