Post-AI Photographer

A little about me.

I’m Nate - an AI artist of 2022 turned photographer as of 2024. Some AI artists do post-photography. I’m post-AI.

Living in Tasmania, Australia with my wife and daughter, working as a water scientist, exploring the world and learning photography along the way.

Between Land and Light

The Heavens Declare

Beneath the curtain of the pitch-black night, the sky became a living canvas, painted with the ethereal dance of blue and green aurora. The heavens declared their timeless majesty and the glory of One unseen, leaving this silent observer in awe of the grandeur of our world.

Where the River meets the Sea

In the northeast of Tasmania, nearby the town of St Helens, lies the pristine beaches of the Bay of Fires and surrounds. A popular holiday destination for many in the state, and a stark contrast of brown river and blue ocean.

Table Cape Tulips

A pristine day, perfect for exploring the northern reaches of Tasmania. The lone lighthouse and blue sky beautifully accentuated by the vast fields of colour.

Nocturnal Symphony

The city stirs beneath the celestial canvas—an orchestra of light and shadow. The honking of horns and cascading lights a symphony of light and dark permeating the night.

Relic of a Bygone Era

Hidden away in the small prison town of Ross, Tasmania, this old, rusted car has seen better days. A herald of an era long forgotten, an observer of the dark history of Australia’s youth.

Winters Grace

In the depth of winter, flowers bloom, taking in the last drops of dappled light. A small grace in an otherwise freezing cold land.

The Bay of Fires

A small cosy corner in the beautiful Bay of Fires, St Helens, Tasmania. Stunning sandy beaches, rocky outcrops and light blue water captivates and satisfies the soul.

Where Cherry Blossoms Bloom

In the small northern Tasmania town of Deloraine, the cherry blossoms are in bloom. In the many little nooks and crannies of this tiny southern Australian island, there are many wonders to find.

Solitary

You never expect to find much in the cold of winter, yet sometimes a surprise may be waiting. The deep greens of Tasmania complemented by a solitary white and purple flower.

Whispers of Spring

The tranquility of cherry blossom trees in full bloom, delicate pink petals creating a canopy of serenity, inviting quiet reflection. The fleeting beauty of spring, a moment of calm and connection with nature.

Tulip Lane

The tulips in bloom at Wynyard’s Table Cape tulip farm, a once a year phenomenon we will be going back to enjoy - and to maybe also get some tulips for our home.

Swan Song

The swan song of my AI work- it marks the end and the retirement of AI as the main part of my creative process. I’m on a new journey, documented through photography, and recorded on the blockchain. I was an AI artist. I am now a photographer.

When life gives you lemons

When life gives you lemons, you could make lemonade. Or you could take a cool photo of them and mint them on the blockchain.

Pretty in Pink

Her favourite colour is pink- she’s wearing it non-stop, asking for it on her clothes and to colour with it. Pictures of your daughters favourite things fill your phone and camera, and you don’t really mind.

Chlorophyll

A green plant reaching for the light, absorbing the power it needs to grow and support life.

Alien Earth

Collected.

The Earth is full of amazing flowers and colours, but none like this. A creative edit of a real photograph, the blackened leaves and petals are not very aesthetic in real life.

Perched Serenity

Genesis on Vitruveo. Collected for $150.

A small bird perched in a tree, seeking out its next meal.

Genesis: The Archives

The Genesis Photography Collection

Genesis: The Archives, a genesis collection of photography from an AI artist, delving into the past and looking towards the possibilities of the future. The Archives explores life prior to returning to Australia, captured experiences and memories in black and white.

Rivers of Living Water

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."

Alone in a majority Buddhist village, the hope of the world, a sole light in the darkness stands. Living water nourishes the village, bringing life and fish- and so the church brings life to the soul.

Eucalypt Dreams

The most iconic tree of Australia and a favourite food of the world famous Koala, Eucalyptus forests dot many of Australia's landscapes.

The Pinnacles

Many otherworldly landscapes await adventurers to Western Australia, and the Pinnacles of Nambung National Park are just one of them. Created 30,000 years ago by receding oceans, the limestone structures seem entirely out of place in the desert.

Harbour of the Tusks (កំពង់ភ្លុក)

The Kampong Phluk Floating Village, located on the Tonle Sap in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The Khmer text literally reads "Harbour of the Tusks", and this particular village houses about 3000 residents.

Whispers of History

Collected by MandalaAffects.

The tree of Ta Prohm Temple, making the ancient rock in the Angkor Temple Complex its home. Made famous through its cameo in Tomb Raider, many a tourist are seen getting a photography by the tree.

Remnants of an Empire

Not for sale. Held for my daughter and to put up in our home.

Angkor Wat, standing as the part of the remnants of the ancient Khmer Empire. Situated in Siem Reap, Cambodia, the Angkor temple complex was built in the 12th century and remains standing as an important historical, cultural and religious site for Khmer people and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
