Tell the world what you’re made of
I was born in the Philippines, which is considered a third-world country. My parents took me to the United States when I was just a few years old, so that we could live a better life. They started off with nothing and knew no one, but worked hard to put food on the table, a roof over our heads, and made sure that my little brother and I are able to have an education.
Fast forward a few years and we're doing better, but with this economy and cost of living, it's a constant struggle. I felt bad having to ask my parents for money all the time because they could only afford to give me things that I really needed. When I was old enough, I looked for opportunities to work and support them with bills/expenses.
Now I work a minimum wage job, run three of my own businesses, and on top of that I'm a full-time college student.
