My Travel Journey

First of all, let me start by saying that I recently got into travelling and I've enjoyed every part of it so far! Any opportunities that arise, I always take them and catch a flight.

I wanted to start my travel journey a long time ago, but then COVID happened. All the lockdowns and requirements to enter a different country put me down. Now requirements are easing, I want to travel as much as possible to anywhere I can go!

MY TRAVEL ITINERARY

Hotels & All That Stuff

Hey guys,

It's time to speak about the places I've stayed and what I did while I was there! So far, I've been to three different countries this year. My new year's resolution was for me to try to travel at least once a month, and so far, it has been working. I'm trying to have the best time and do everything while I'm still young. I travel solo or with others. It depends how I feel. Anyways, forget about that, and let's get into it. The places I've visited so far are:

○ Athens, Greece - 🇬🇷  04/02 - 06/02
○ Larnaca, Cyprus - 🇨🇾  03/03 - 06/02
○ Paris, France - 🇫🇷  16/03 - 18/03

First of all, I would like to say I enjoyed my stay at all of these places but everyone gets to have a favourite, right? We'll get into that later...

ATHENS, GREECE - Hub Suites, Luxury living in Athens

Athens was an amazing place to visit with lots of sightseeing. I enjoyed my time here, and the hotel I stayed at was more of an apartment. It was beautiful, and I would definitely go back there if I had the chance. I will be linking the place where I stayed below. It was a VERY reasonable price. I paid around £150 for two nights. Return flights were £16. Just make sure to find a shop to buy food so that you can cook; otherwise, you'll be spending extra on take out every night (the takeaway wasn't expensive). On my first day, I didn't really plan anything until the last minute. I went to visit all of the ruins (Acropolis & others) they had in Athens. It was a nice view too! You could climb up higher to get an even better view. By the way, I was very close to all of these attractions. I believe the walk was around 10/15 minutes. It included A LOT of hills, but it was worth it in the end. Later that night, I ended up going to a bar called "Kokomo" which was basically right outside the hotel (three minute walk). The man who owned the bar was having a conversation with me for the whole night, which I actually enjoyed because I'm a very social person. I also spoke to his colleague. She was lovely and seemed so shy at first. I even got drinks on the house. I would rate this place a 10/10 and would highly recommend everyone to go if they visit Athens. I left there around 2am. The first night was done, and I went to my bed!

The second day there, was probably the worse day just because of the simple fact, I wrote a list of places to visit, and most of them were closed due to maintenance. I wanted to visit Lake Vouliagmeni because it just looked so nice! That plan failed, and I ended up trying to find a ferry that does island hopping. I didn't actually get to do this just because I would have missed the boat to leave (sad, I know). Anyways, I run out of things to do, so I decided to hop in the pool that was on my balcony and relax. After about an hour, I decided to go for a walk and found this beautiful restaurant which I was seated right by the sea. When I say right by the sea, I mean this literally. If one thing fell off the table, it would have floated away with the sea haha. I believe it was called "Ark" in Glyfada. Right next to the beach. The food was nice. I'd give it a 7/10. It was quite chilly but I did visit in February so what did I really expect? That night was a chilled night, had a few glasses of wine and watched some films.

The third day was the day I was leaving. There wasn't anything planned on this day because the flight was kind of early. I packed up my stuff and made my way to the airport. I actually almost missed my flight because I forgot to fill out that silly passenger locator form. That almost ruined my day lol but I ran and made it to the gate with one minute to spare. I was happy but I was hot after all of that running. I DON'T run for anything guys; EVER.

But that was how my trip to Athens went.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5

LARNACA, CYPRUS - Lebay Beach Hotel

I actually had this holiday booked with a friend but she decided not to come last minute so I decided to just go by myself and let me tell you, I had a great time. Solo travelling was something I always wanted to do and it couldn't have been a better time for it to happen. I actually planned to go here for two nights but Wizzair decided to change my booking last minute to three nights. That was annoying at first but I ended up appreciating it. The first day I arrived, I got to my hotel at around 10pm. As soon as I arrived, the hotel staff was lovely and they even gave me a free drink on arrival. They must have knew I was thirsty haha. Anyways, I checked in and went to my room. The room was even better than what I had seen in the pictures and the mattresses was so thick! I made sure to record the room so I could make a reel on my instagram. I didn't really do much that night because it was late but I was starving. I ordered room service then watched some films, showered and got ready for bed. This hotel cost me £220 for three nights. Return flights were £20.

That sleep was great. I woke up so refreshed. The second day, the weather was around 19 or 20 degrees so I decided to get dressed and go down for my breakfast at around 8 or 9am. It was a buffet breakfast. Who doesn't love that? I sat outside and faced the ocean the entire time. The view was amazing. After I finished, I decided to go for a walk down the beach. I don't know where I was walking to but I was just walking, enjoying the views and my own company. I took some pictures and videos. People were staring at me as if I was strange because I pulled out my tripod haha. I didn't come that far to not to get a picture though! Anyways, I decided to go to the bar in the hotel and order myself some drinks and food. I went back to my room for a bit then got changed and went to a shisha bar. I can't remember what this place was called but it was in the town and the staff vibes were great. They made me feel welcome and we all spoke for the 2 hours I was there. I ordered some drinks and got shisha for myself? I don't know who I thought I was. Anyways, it was probably around 11pm so I decided to go find some food. Low and behold, a Mcdonalds. Can't go to another country and not try their McDonald's, can you? Brought myself two meals then went back to the hotel.

The third day, I decided to go to the beach. I can't remember the beach name but I remember I went to "Central Water Sports" to do canoeing. I enjoyed myself. After that, I decided to walk back to the hotel because it was a nice day but I spotted a tattoo shop on my way back called "Ink Box". The owner of that shop was so nice and he was helping with the tattoo I wanted. Measurements and stuff. I didn't end up getting it because I wanted to go in the pool at the hotel but if I go back, I'm definately going to his shop. I left the tattoo shop then found a food store. I brought a few cartons of juice which made me happy. Fast forward to me finally getting back to the hotel's beach where I was followed by a strange man. Long story short, I didn't appreciate it and confronted him. I went back in the hotel and chilled for a bit until I got hungry. I went to get dinner from downstairs where I met a cat that wouldn't leave me alone (if anyone knows me, you'd know cats aren't my thing). Apart from that, I had a nice meal and went back to my room.

The last day, I was busy packing then went down to get my breakfast. I didn't really do much this day because I had to get to the airport soon but I had an Ice Frappe along with some food before leaving for the airport. I took the bus all the way there. I couldn't believe the bus stopped right outside the airport, I don't know why lol. But for anyone wanting to visit here, I'd recommend getting the bus app called "Pame". Buses are €2, whereas the bolt cabs are expensive.

I'd give this trip a:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 only because of the strange man.

PARIS, FRANCE - L'Elysée Val d'Europe

This trip was by far the best. I had such an amazing time. I went here for my son's 5th birthday and it's safe to say we all enjoyed it. The first day we arrived, we got the Paris at 21:30 so a bit late just like the Cyprus trip. The Hotel was a Disney Hotel so it was quite a bit a way from the airport. We was going to catch a bus but that said a 1 hour 30 minutes bus journey. By the time we went through customs and all of that stuff, it was 10pm. We decided to get a cab just because it was late, we was all tired and we had to be up in the morning to go DISNEYLAND!! The cabs were about €80 for a 30 minute drive which I didn't appreciate but you gotta do what you gotta do lol. Anyways, we got to the hotel, checked in and went to see our room. It was so nice! We had two Queen size beds so nothing to complain about really. They were soft and I had a great sleep. The Hotel cost €300 for two nights. Return flights were £40.

The next morning was time for us to get up, dressed and catch the shuttle bus to Disneyland. The shuttle bus came with the hotel booking and was FREE. Who doesn't like free things? Anyways the journey was only 5 or 8 minutes to Disneyland and OMG. Guys, I felt like a giant kid as soon as we got there. I think I was even more excited than my 5 year old son but to be honest, he didn't even know where we was going. We got to the ticket sales place but we'd brought four tickets on the app "Viator" which came to about £195. Basically, if you wanna go to Disneyland, you should probably figure out all these prices first lmao. I didn't care though, I just wanted to go inside at this point. We all went in and the first thing I did was take a picture because well, I can. MAGICAL. That's how I would describe this place. We watched shows, ate lunch (that small meal came to £50 - two salads, a muffin, a cookie, two hot chocolates and two sandwiches), went on rides and just wondered around the whole park. We got there at 9am and left around 7pm and I don't even think we got around to going to every part of it which was a big yikes moment. Anyways, that was the day done because I was EXHAUSTED. We went to grab dinner and went back to the hotel.

The next day was time for us to leave. Before we left, we decided to visit the shopping mall which was right across the road from our hotel. YES, ACROSS THE ROAD! Of course I decided to do clothes shopping because you can never have too many clothes I guess. Long story short, I would definitely go back to Paris in a heart beat.

I had so much fun here, so I give it a:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5. Can't even fault anything.
