Noah Inniss-Parchment

Facilitator, Speaker, Host

Hey, It's Noah!

Instead of pretending that someone wrote my bio, I am going to tell you about me.

I am a Jamaican child who comes from humble beginnings. Things were never easy but I consider the hard stuff in life to be full of lessons and blessings. I took my experiences in my youth and decided pursue a career in social worker. I wanted to be like the the people that supported me when I needed it- people who lead the youth drop-ins and leadership programs, empowered us kids to be our fullest selves... I wanted to be more than my circumstances and show others they could be too.

Since completeing my bachelor's of social work in 2014, I have been engaged employed, volunteered with various non-profit organisations organizations in Ottawa and Toronto including Kindspace, LGBT Youthline, Rexdale Pride, and The Centretown Community Health Centre Trans Health Clinic and I sit on the Regional Table for trans health care in the Champlain region. I was most recently with The Enchanté Network as Programs Manager where I got to connect and support 2SLGBTQI+ organizations across Canada.

I facilitate groups to connect, educate and empower. I support companies, organizations, and individuals looking to create safer and empowering spaces for Black people of queer and trans experience. I host events, and moderate discussions. When I am not doing all of that, i am searching for the next sneaker to add to my collection, making and finding cool clothes and rocking them, or laughing and spending time with my wife.
