My Story

The Pursuit of Happiness

I have worked for over 20 years in the hospitality industry in the service of others. I truly believe there’s something beautiful about taking care of the people who enter your establishment as well as those you work with. The hours can be long and hard. Nights, weekends, holidays- you name it, I worked it. I loved (almost) every minute of it! I wouldn’t trade all the amazing experiences, people I’ve met, and everything I learned along the way for anything. I’m ridiculously proud of my journey from high school host to Chief Hospitality Officer at Goodbrothers Hospitality.

When 2020 hit, my trajectory was forever changed. I found myself unemployed (by choice) for the first time in my adult life. l decided to really dig in and find the positive in this chance to FINALLY slow down.

I have loved my 2 years at home with my family, my dog and my plants, and learning to be present in new ways. It was a gift to have the time to figure out what I’m passionate about and really show up for my life. I intend to carry that presence and prioritize work/life balance for myself and my teams as I head back to work.

I am beyond excited to return to Hospitality with a fresh perspective on what’s important. It is now, and has always been the people. Everything always falls into place when you take care of people, whether it’s at your table, a restaurant table, or our community table. Hospitality I s caring for everyone along the way and I’m grateful to spend my days doing just that.!
