About Us —

The Prospective Black Lawyers Society (otherwise known as PBL) is a UK based nonprofit organisation founded in 2021 for the African and Caribbean lawyers of the future.

At PBL, heavy emphasis is put onto the personal and professional development of aspiring lawyers from secondary school to degree (and equivalent) stages.

Our student-led team aim to hinder the development of the reasons behind the stark underrepresentation of those with black heritage in the legal environment, actively trying to implement solutions which will help overcome the barriers.

Our Platforms

Our Podcast and Blog —

Two integral parts to The PBL Society are our (amazing, if we do say so ourselves) podcast and blog.

In both, discourse surrounds the law, current affairs, social injustice, academics, careers, and personal and professional development.

It is all down to your own taste: are you a reader or a listener? Or perhaps you’re both?
