About Us

Prospective Black Lawyers (otherwise known as PBL) is a UK based nonprofit organisation founded in 2021 to champion diversity in the legal profession by supporting the African and Caribbean lawyers of the future.

Statistics brought to us by the SRA showed us the need to create an enterprise which supports and provides insight for some of the most underrepresented groups in the legal profession. We welcome all supporters of our cause.

At PBL, heavy emphasis is put on the personal and professional development of aspiring lawyers from secondary school to degree (and equivalent) stages.

Our student-led team aim to hinder the development of the reasons behind the stark underrepresentation of those with Black heritage in the legal environment, actively implementing solutions which will help with overcoming the barriers.

We’re levelling the playing field, one step at a time.
