Kia Ora e te whānau, I’m Pikirangi Kohunui.

I currently reside in a region “like no other” Taranaki, New Zealand 🇳🇿.

ABIT ABOUT ME

Right after high school I went on and studied my Bachelor of teaching Kura Kaupapa Māori.
In my 2nd year I became pregnant, I then gave birth in my 3rd year & finally I graduated at the age of 20 with my 10month old son.

When I started mahi as a Kaiako I soon realised that I was putting mahi before myself & my whānau, but most importantly my son.

I remember a time when I promised myself that I wouldn’t have any days off, cause in my opinion, being a kaiako is such a big roll to fulfil especially when you have tamariki counting on you, but don’t get me wrong it is such a rewarding profession to be amongst.

Anywho, a couple of months went by and I received a phone call from my sons kohanga, saying that he had just finished throwing up & that I needed to pick him up.

I remember when I hung up I starting bursting out with tears and feeling so guilty that I couldn’t fulfil my roll as a kaiako that day, due to my son being sick.

And I will never forget how SMALL that made me feel as a māmā. Because in the spare of the moment I felt guilty for taking care of my sick child.

So adulthood came pretty fast for me which forced a HUGE amount of GROWTH & continues to do so.

Fast forward to my current situation, I’ve recently given birth to my youngest son, and Im so grateful on the change of script since having him.

Being on both sides of mahi & time I’ve realised that both ways only keep me and my whānau mentally & financially afloat.

Until I came across this life changing opportunity that requires taking inner growth to a level I never knew exist, and you get paid to do so, but it doesn’t end there, you also work towards a financial LEGACY and I couldn’t be more grateful for the timing of this opportunity.
