Hi! My name is Porsha. In addition to all those titles, I've recently become a business owner, but let's start from the beginning 😉

I am a licensed Cosmetologist and Barber in the states of Illinois and Texas. I have been professionally in the industry for over 10 years. If you're like me you know the love of hair starts young. I watched my Grandma work behind the chair my whole life and it just felt so natural to follow that path.

I was born and raised in Chicago, but moved to Austin, TX in 2011. I really put in work over there and perfected my craft. I always had a hard time deciding if I preferred men or women's hair, the struggle! Both fun, both difficult, but so rewarding when you finished. I decided to get my Barber license in 2016 and it was seriously life changing. I met my husband in school and we got married in 2018!

We took a huge leap of faith and moved back to Chicago to start our life together ❤ It is now 2021 and we have a beautiful baby boy, Benji. I never thought I'd leave the shop life, but some time off never hurts. I love my craft and I love the connections I've made, so I've decided to come back behind the chair after a 10 month hiatus. I will be taking two days off from my full time mom schedule to do what I love.

I am so blessed that I am able to be home with our boy, but I miss it. I still want to make those connections. I want to help others feel good and look good. Whether it's for a cut, a blowout, helping you find the right hair products, sharing some baby tips or just need a safe space to talk. I'm here!
