I have been cooking and baking since I was a child. Learning different styles from various family members. I think the two that have impacted me the most are learning authentic Cuban recipes from my father and learning to bake from my grandmother.

I can remember when I was in my late teens when the love of food and family impacted me. Holidays were my favorite because they would give me the chance to help cook and bake all the recipes from our family. Christmas was the best because I would help make the mounds of cookies for the family and also bread.

Being an adult now and I still love the art of cooking but baking lets my creative side come through. Cake decorating is the best way to showcase that. All of my skills in this craft are self-taught from years of cooking shows, Pinterest studying and YouTube videos on how-to, etc.

Now I enjoy doing small orders and trade shows to get my sweets out here for everyone to enjoy. My biggest fan and customer would be my amazing wife, Bessie. She has pushed me to keep working on what I love and has always been there to support me when my idea doesn’t come out how I wanted. Plus, she enjoys the tasty mistakes.
