About Prestige Dance Centre
Our Story
The year was 2008 and Lauren Sosnowski-McKean (aka Miss Lauren) was ready to try something new.
After an exciting few years performing professionally with Queensland Ballet, and working with renowned choreographers, Miss Lauren decided she wanted to invest her life in training up the next generation of dancers.
It was this passion that saw Prestige Dance Centre come to life.
When Prestige opened its doors, it was one of the first dance school in the Springfield area. Miss Lauren’s vision was to create a studio that not only focussed on high-level technique, but also one that encouraged her students to feel confident in who they were. During her years of industry experience, Miss Lauren had seen how nurturing students could bring out the best in them, and that’s the sort of environment she wanted to create.
Prestige began with just 12 students, but by the end of its first year, that number more than doubled. Now, over 400 students stream into the studio each week, eager to learn new things.
Prestige's classes include Ballet, Jazz, Tap Contemporary, Performance, Hip Hop, acrobatics and Pilates.
