#1 Pilea Peperomioides

The Pilea Peperomioides Plant (also called Chinese Money Plant, UFO Plant, or Pancake Plant due to its flat, coin-shaped foliage) has a central upright stem, surrounded on all sides by its characteristic perky peltate leaves. This plants’ easy to care for nature makes it a wonderful beginner plant that can easily thrive in a windowsill. Plus, a happy plant will produce “pups” that can easily be propagated and shared with friends!

#2 Peperomia caperata ‘Silver Ripple’

Ripple peperomia is a fairly low-maintenance plant that is often grown as a houseplant due to its tough nature and beautiful heart shaped leaves.

The Silver Ripple has heavy fluting foliage that are light green in color with silver highlights on the raised part of the leaves. This is one of the faster growing caperatas and great for beginners.

#3 Rare Sansevieria ‘Samurai Dwarf’ (Sansevieria ehrenbergii)

Don’t let this little guys’ size fool you - this is a beautiful very low maintenance plant and is one of our most popular plants! This rare sansevieria ‘Samurai Dwarf’ has a short stature, only growing 4-6” tall. The short, green leaves have a pronounced V-shape with a slight red tint on the leaf edges and leaf tips, and they arise on the stem in an alternating unique pattern. Like all sansevierias, it grows best in full sun. Water only when the soil is dry. Great plant for beginners and those who ~might~ forget to water their plants regularly.

The Wandering Jew Plant (Tradescantia pallid), also called spiderworts, are popular house plants for their stripes of white, green, silver, and purple colors of their foliage. They have trailing vines that flow from their base, they are fast growers, are very easy to care for and easy to propagate to share with friends!

#5 Sansevieria trifasciata 'The Bird’s Nest Hahnii'/Bird’s Nest Sansevieria

The bird nest “Hahnii” snake plant looks like a heavy-textured, open rose that grows slowly, with a dense rosette of dark green leaves with gray-green crossbands. Hahnii Sansevieria is a short, stubby member of the family. It grows no taller than 12″ inches with 6″-8″ inches being the norm. Very great for beginners as with most Sansevierias they are very hard to kill and can withstand a lot more than your average plant.
