Marco Dorian is an R&B and Sophisti-pop singer-songwriter who started his professional journey in the music industry at age 16, singing blues, jazz, soul and gospel music.
Born in Latina, Italy, Marco (Dorian) Menichini has his first real encounter with the impact of his voice at age 7 while singing “Heal The World” by Michael Jackson for an audience during a school play.
As a teenager, he decides to delve deeper into the craft of becoming a true vocalist by exploring different textures and channeling emotions through an ever more nuanced tone, taking inspiration from Donny Hathaway, Etta James, Stevie Wonder, James Brown and Billie Holiday among the many.
Later on, he starts to perform live nationwide and in that same period he is selected as one of the eight most interesting new artists to perform at the Sanremo Festival of Italian Music on the same stage that has been the home for the most relevant Italian artists.
After the nationally acclaimed performance that was broadcasted in Eurovision, he is approached by Michael Baker and spends an entire year working closely with him to develop a style that would allow his love for real, authentic vocals to shine through while tapping into the most modern and fresh textures.
The aim of his new, international project, with the support of RAdAR LABEL, is to merge the sophistication and elegance of his persona with the most appealing and contemporary sounds, giving life to a new balance between light, darkness and sensuality.
