Social Media

Social Media affects the views of people in the Election 2022

This election will be influenced by social media simply because we as viewers believe what we see, and sometimes it is also due to the effect of popularity (known celebrities). The concept of the economy of attention is aided by social media, particularly news broadcast via social media platforms. Social media, notably news media, plays an important function in democratic societies because it allows individuals to engage. As a result of the increasing amount of political news published on various kinds of social media, younger generations are becoming more interested in politics. According to Richard Heydarian, a public educator and professor, social media platforms have a lot of clout during political campaigns, but that clout doesn't always transfer into real-world effects.

Nowadays, the media has a huge impact on how individuals behave. Information, whether real or incorrect, supposition or rumor, may be distributed with a few mouse clicks. This may have a negative impact on relationships, whether they be between celebrities and regular people or between celebrities and their loved ones. The media can manage, influence, convince, and even dominate society, in both positive and harmful ways; cognitively, physically, and emotionally (Neale,2014). Said those, media can also affect the views of political views on who to vote in this upcoming election.
