The Ghost Festival honors the advent of ancestors through Tridharma devotion. Sadly, there is a lack of awareness about this celebration due to a Dharma Bhakti Monastery break-in at West Jakarta on September 3rd, 2023. This served as a model for the development of interactive, educational media in the form of a visual novel intended for Tridharma individuals between the ages of 18 and 26.
Begin with a sketch, each character design is inspired by original references to make the character factual and convey the essence of the Tridharma teachings.
Like the character designs, each background design is inspired by original references to be factual and give the impression of the location where the Ghost Festival takes place.
Like character design and background design, each prop is inspired by original references to ensure that the Tridharma teachings are conveyed properly and correctly.
There are 11 supporting medias for the Ghost Festival Visual Novel; acrylic deity standees, prayer beads, cell phone hangers, ancestral offering packages, tote bags, Instagram, x banners, t-shirts, pins, key chains, and WhatsApp stickers.

The primary media outlet of this thesis project is the visual novel APK Ghost Festival, which is operated on Android. There are 4 endings in the visual novel Ghost Festival. Each option has the teachings of Tridharma; Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.
