Welcome! My name is Jacquelyn Kent and I reside in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. Unfortunately, I have endured an extremely high conflict child custody case since December, 2019 regarding my three-year-old, Special Needs son, Roman Kent, or Romy for short. I have battled several Judges, Clerks, attorneys, social workers, police officers, etc during the course of two years, to protect my precious boy. I violated a Permanent Child Custody Order by restricting unsafe, unsupervised, overnight visitations with Romy's biological father in fear he would be harmed. During this time period, Romy's father acquired six domestic violence criminal charges, a 50B DVPO, 10 jobs, a vehicular drug possession charge, a DWI, attended two rehabilitation programs and is currently still a severe substance abuser.

I have seen and been involved firsthand with the egregious, careless and Constitutional violations by the Family Court "System." The absolute heinous, destructive, false allegations, individuals paying others off, DSS involvement, disregarding evidence, Perjury, etc all have existed, plus more, in my Case. I have been abused, ridiculed, defamed, harassed, threatened and incarcerated twice due to simply ensuring my son's safety and protection from his unfit father. I've had two Judges Recuse themselves thus far; Gary Henderson and Sean Smith. The current presiding Judge is Paige McThenia.

On April 21st and 22nd, 2022, I had a torturous two-day Trial to change the Custody Order. After revoking my Constitutional Right to receive a Public Defender for Criminal Contempt, Sean Smith sentenced me to 60 days in jail, in which I'm Appealing, placed a $50,000.00 Bond against me and ripped my innocent, helpless son out of my home and gave him to his father for Sole Custody for 90 days with no contact from me except one, ten-minute Facetime chat weekly on Saturday mornings. Over the past four months, I have only visited live with Roman on 10 occasions which did not begin until after the 90 day period ended. Judge Sean Smith threatened to terminate all of my parental rights during this hearing as well.

During the past four months in his father's custody, Romy has been removed from all weekly therapy sessions for his disabilities including Sensory Processing Disorder and Ataxia because his father believes he has no medical issues despite over 750 pages of records from 13 different physicians and several diagnoses. His medical care has been neglected, he was burned on a firepit, nearly drowned, and in July, 2022, his hair follicles tested positive for high levels of Marijuana on a ChildGuard Exposure Drug Test. His father was caught on video by a Private Investigator I hired, smoking Marijuana in his vehicle, driving under the influence and directly caring for Romy immediately afterwards upon returning home. His father has had numerous hair follicle drug tests in the past several months which he has failed as well. Not one of these Judges in my Case has cared, reprimanded or Ordered drug testing. They continue to give him custody and allow Roman to be exposed to abuse, neglect and drugs on a daily basis.

My entire family has suffered tremendously due to Family Court, especially Romy. He cries instantly each time on our weekly Facetime visitations and live, begging to come home and even stating to us and a social worker that he "never wants to go to daddy's house or see him again." This is a major concern. The trauma he and my family have endured for two years is irreversible and has caused unfathomable damage physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually.

However, I was incredibly blessed that Chief Investigator Jody Barr decided to share my story on Fox 46 News. He conducted three interviews thus far with me in the past two months; all broadcasted on television. Since then, I am fighting my hardest each day to abolish the entire Family Court "System" and replace it. I advocate for protective, fit, good parents, grandparents, extended family members, men and women alike, to share their stories on multiple platforms. I am involved in numerous social media groups and have traveled to Washington D.C. with the famous Francesca Amato, to speak to Congress. I continue contacting the highest ranking government officials for help with this crisis plaguing our Nation and forcing children to become abused, neglected, delinquent or lose their lives completely due to this Corruption. I am not afraid to stand up for protective parent's and children's Rights and expose this injustice to get Roman back in my custody as well as other children back to their protective parents and ensure this never occurs again to anymore families!
