RiRi Wearables was founded during the beginning of the COVID pandemic. The founder, Serene started to work mostly with natural stones and crystals, however in mid-2021, with the encouragement from her husband, she dived in head first into resin jewellery making and since then, there’s no turning back.

Serene spends a lot of time teaching herself to craft and finds that working with UV Resin totally gave her the freedom to express her ideas into wearable pieces. She also appreciates many sincere and genuine conversations with her clients. Many meaningful friendships were born out of their weird-hour discussions over a customised piece or about preordering a certain item that wasn’t available to be preordered at that moment. 😅

The founder believes that RiRi Wearables’ uniqueness came from the fact that Serene intentionally create designs that are rarer to find in the local market places and then to price it competitively, simply because apart from designing great pieces, one of the best satisfaction as a Maker is to see your pieces worn and adorn by the possessor themselves.

Serene is a wife and a mother to one beautiful daughter. Together they live with her husbands family and reside in the bustling town of Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. She makes all her jewellery in her little corner out of her small living room upstairs. She usually crafts best during the early mornings when her daughter is having her online classes, or late at night when everyone is asleep. When she isn’t crafting, she’s probably busy cooking up a storm for her family of six at home or simply doing her daily chores.
