My name is Carissa & I am a 27 year old mom based in Long Island, NY. Originally from north jersey & recently moved from PA...I’m a tri-state girl at heart.

I, like many people, lost my day job due to covid-19. I was a casino cocktail waitress for 6 years and got completely stuck in the industry because of the cash flow. I used to think to myself “is there more for me? Or did I waste my years serving and not complete my full potential.” - and then I found Modern Nature!

Not only did Modern Nature change my hair, mindset, & self esteem - it showed me what is possible with my time. I jumped into the buisness & became comfortable being uncomfortable! I personally love helping others & connecting with people so it was a great fit.

I joined Modern Nature because I fell in love with the products and how they brought my hair back to life after years of abuse. I’m talking circa 2007, applying heat & constantly box dying and not appreciating my hair for what it was. Only to find out that my hair is curly and carefree and what makes me, me - and instead of changing it all the time, embracing it!

Now not only do I help people on their hair journey, I also help them on their beauty/wellness journey and have become a well rounded one stop shop for all things beauty, health, and nutrition! I work with the TOP company in the industry and created time freedom and a stress free lifestyle that I LOVE. & honestly...I’m JUST getting started.
