I have never been the “athletic” type, never played a sport in school, never did a workout program, never ran. After three pregnancies I was diagnosed with high blood pressure, and suffered from very painful sciatic nerve, lower back pain and knee issues. Doctors told me I needed to “lose weight”. I didn’t know what that meant for me because I was not overweight. I felt disappointed, frustrated, upset at myself, and hopeless because I didn’t know what I was supposed to do nor how to do it.

I tried "losing weight" in several ways; cardio programs, exercising in an elliptical, several gym memberships. But, with 3 kids, work, busy lifestyle, I couldn't stick to any of these methods, and would quickly loose interest.

Eventually, I came across a social media post from a close friend that had gone through an incredible transformation. Her results were super inspiring. She introduced me to a program that seemed unconventional to me, but there was no denying the results. Above all, it was flexible, FUN, easy to do from home, and worked for ME! It was something I could stick to. That was 7 years ago and I have not stopped.

Today, taking care of myself comes naturally; no longer just a couple of workouts a month. I look forward to my fitness routine and know now how important it is to take care of your body, both physically and mentally.
