Dear Parents  —

#EndSARS Update 12/10/20

Dear Parents,

As of now you are probably aware that there have been protests all over the country calling for the end to the tactical unit called the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).

We have been protesting peacefully calling for our demands to be met. At a protest in Ojuelegba today, FIVE UNARMED PROTESTERS PEACEFULLY PROTESTING were murdered by the policemen who were supposed to be protected. MANY have been detained at Area C Ojuelegba police station. The police officers at the station are not letting volunteer lawyers get access to the peaceful protesters that have been arrested. In Abuja, the police are using live ammunitions, teargas, water cannons and physical violence on civilians peacefully protesting. This evening, on the Lekki-Epe Expressway, military forces opened fire with live ammunition on unarmed Nigerian youths peacefully protesting.

Your children are dying fighting for a country that should be trying to create a world where they can work, live, AND THRIVE IN PEACE AND IN SAFETY.

PLEASE HELP US IN ANY WAY YOU CAN. THOSE OF OUR PARENTS WITH ACCESS PLEASE CALL ANYONE YOU CAN THAT YOU THINK CAN HELP US GET THE ARRESTED FREE. THEY DID NOTHING WRONG. NOBODY WAS VIOLENT. THERE HAS BEEN NO VANDALISM.

WE ARE FIGHTING BECAUSE WE DO NOT WANT TO DIE. WE DESERVE TO LIVE FULL LIVES. THEY ARE STILL KILLING US. PLEASE DO NOT LET OUR HARD WORK BE IN VAIN.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP US #ENDSARS

Signed,

A Tired Nigerian Youth.
